PEAR CAKE: SOFT and VERY EASY to prepare! ๐๐

INGREDIENTS
700g of pears
150g of brown sugar (100+50)
20ml of rum
ยฝ lemon (juice)
100g of soft butter
2 eggs
200g of all-purpose flour
2 tsp of baking powder
100ml of milk

METHOD
1. Peel the pears, remove the seeds, and slice them.
2. Mix them in a large bowl with 50g of brown sugar, rum, and lemon juice.
3. In a large bowl, beat the soft butter and 100g of brown sugar with an electric mixer until creamy.
4. Add the eggs and mix again until fully absorbed.
5. Add the flour and baking powder, and mix until smooth and lump-free.
6. Add the milk and mix again until you get a smooth and homogeneous batter.
7. Finally, fold in 2/3 of the pear slices.
8. Pour and level the batter into a cake tin lined with parchment paper.
9. Arrange the remaining pear slices in a circular pattern on top, and sprinkle with a handful of brown sugar.
10. Bake at 180ยฐC (350ยฐF) for about 45 minutes.
