Stuffed onions: the unique dish to serve on any occasion!

INGREDIENTS
4 White onions
250g of Minced sausage
Salt
Pepper
1 Egg
Rosemary
Extra virgin olive oil
Oregano
Oregano
Breadcrumbs
4 slices of Cheese
METHOD
- Clean the onions, pour some water into a pot, and bring it to a boil. Then pour in the onions and cook for 10 minutes. As soon as the onions have blanched, drain and let them cool.
- In a bowl add the minced sausage, salt, pepper, egg, rosemary, extra virgin olive oil, and oregano, and mix everything well.
- When they have cooled, cut the cap and keep it aside and hollow out the inside of the onion with the help of a knife or a digger.
- Chop the inner part of the onion and add into the minced sausage mixture and mix well.
- Fill the onions with the mixture and transfer them into the baking tray previously sprinkled with the extra virgin olive oil.
- Arrange the caps and add a sprig of rosemary. Sprinkle the onions with breadcrumbs, cover with a slice of stringy cheese and sprinkle again with the olive oil.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C/360°F for 40 minutes.
