Baked Zucchini Fries Ingredients

Zucchini – use small to medium firm zucchini. Large zucchini will become soft when cooked.

Parmesan – adds crispiness and flavor.

Breadcrumbs – add crispiness.

Seasoning – use any of your favorite seasoning. We chose paprika and parsley.

How To Bake Zucchini Fries

Prepare the zucchini by cutting large zucchinis into thick sticks. There’s no need to peel them. Cut the zucchini into sticks. Don’t make the sticks too small, otherwise they will become soggy. Season with oil, paprika, parmesan, parsley, and breadcrumbs. Then bake until golden. Serve immediately.

Tips For Making Crispy Zucchini Fries

To make it extra crispy, you can use Panko breadcrumbs.

Make low-carb zucchini sticks by leaving out the breadcrumbs and only using parmesan.

Don’t be tempted to overbake the zucchini, this will cause them to become soggy.

The sticks shouldn’t be too small—this will cause the zucchini to overcook and they will become soggy.

To make them vegan, omit the parmesan and use a mixture of breadcrumbs, nutritional yeast, and Italian seasoning.

These parmesan zucchini fries can be made in the Airfryer. Place the breaded zucchini in the Airfryer basket and cook for 10 minutes at 400°F.

What To Serve With Zucchini Fries

Serve the zucchini fries with your favorite dipping sauce. Make a basic fry dipping sauce by whisking together 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 2 tbsp ketchup, and 1 tsp chopped pickle. You can also make aioli. Serve the zucchini fries as a side to burgers instead of classic potatoes.

How To Store Parmesan Zucchini Fries

Store leftover zucchini fries in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.

If you want them to be crispy after reheating, warm them in the oven or Airfryer. If you reheat them in the microwave, they will become mushy.

Can You Freeze Baked Zucchini Fries?

Yes, you can! Place the baked and cooled zucchini fries on a baking sheet in a single layer. Once frozen, transfer them to a Ziploc bag and freeze for up to 3 months.
