Fried potato sticks: the delicious and easy to prepare side dish!

An incredible way to cook potatoes!

INGREDIENTS

400g potatoes

90g (3/4 cup) cornstarch

Salt to taste

90g edam cheese, shredded

Vegetable oil (frying oil)

METHOD

Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes and boil for 20 minutes or until soft.
Mash potatoes using a sieve.
In a bowl combine mashed potatoes, cornstarch, shredded cheese, and season with salt and pepper. Mix everything well.
Transfer the dough into a plastic zip bag and flatten the mixture with a rolling pin. Place into a freezer for 15 minutes.
Open the zip bag with a knife and cut the dough into 1 cm sticks.
Heat vegetable oil in a pan, fry sticks on medium to low heat for 3-5 minutes or until golden.
