Sweet brioches: how to make them at home in a few simple steps!

INGREDIENTS

For the dough:

150ml (2/3 cup) of warm milk

50g (1/4 cup) of sugar

7g of dry yeast

40ml (8 tsp) of vegetable oil

1 egg

380g (2 7/8 cups) of flour

1/3 tsp of salt

For the cream:
40g (1/2 cup)of sugar

20g (1/4 cup) of corn starch

1 Egg yolk

250ml (1 cup) of warm milk

1 tsp lemon zest

60g (1/3 cup) Chocolate chips

Egg yolk

Brown sugar

Powdered sugar

METHOD

In a bowl mix together milk sugar and yeast. Left for 10 minutes, add in oil, egg, flour, and salt. Mix and let it rise for 1 hour. In a pan mix together sugar, cornstarch, egg yolk, lemon zest, and milk.
Roll out the dough and cover 2/3 of it with prepared cream and chocolate chips, fold the dough into three parts and cut into strips and twist them.
Transfer to the baking pan and spread with egg yolk, sprinkle with brown sugar, bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
