Making your own candy is a fun and easy way to show your friends and family how much you care. Crockpot candy is a great way to make a large batch of candy with minimal effort and will not only make tasty treats but are perfect for the holidays or gifts. This recipe is similar to the Crockpot candy made in a crockpot but is made on the stove instead. It’s made with chocolate chips, peanut butter, peanuts, and baking chocolate. You can also add in peanuts or any other nuts that you like. It’s easy to prepare and the reward is super sweet! Crockpot candy is a healthy snack (well, sort of) and is made without flour—which means it’s gluten-free.

Crockpot Candy Ingredients

Because the recipe only uses a handful of ingredients, you should use the best quality you can find.

Chocolate – use high-quality dark baking chocolate (not chocolate from the candy aisle). Ghirardelli chocolate will work well. If you prefer sweeter candy, use milk chocolate.

Peanuts – you will use unsalted and salted peanuts,

Tips

Make the bars fruitier by adding dried cranberries, chopped dried apricots, raisins

Add more flavor by adding chopped crystallized ginger, lemon zest, orange zest, or vanilla essence.

If you prefer, you can add desiccated coconut.

You can also make the candy in an 8×8-inch tin, and slice it into bars once set. Spray the knife with oil cooking spray to ensure smooth slices. This will prevent the candy from sticking to the blade, and ensure that each slice comes out smoothly.

You can use other nuts too. Pecans, cashews, and macadamias will all work. If using large nuts, make sure to chop them so they are all equally sized.

You can decorate the clusters with shredded coconut or rainbow sprinkles.
