Chestnuts in syrup: how to make them delicious in a few steps!

An Italian recipe to preserve chestnuts!
INGREDIENTS

1kg chestnuts
600g sugar
1,5l water
Cinnamon stick
Lemon
Vanilla
METHOD
- Make a slight cut in the chestnuts to make it easier to remove the first layer of skin. Pour all the chestnuts into a pot, cover with water and boil for 15 minutes.
- Take out the chestnuts, peel them easily and place them in glass jars.
- Pour water into a pot, add sugar, lemon, a stick of cinnamon and bring to a boil. Remove any foam that forms.
- Fill the glass jars of chestnuts with the syrup.
