Caramel flan bars: the way to make them perfect!

So creamy and easy to make, this dessert is perfect for any occasion!

INGREDIENTS
67g (⅓ cup) sugar
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp hot water
490g (2 cups) milk
100g (½ cup) sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
5 whole eggs
2 egg yolks

METHOD
  1. In the pan on the medium heat add milk, sugar and vanilla extract, mix until sugar is dissolved but do not boil it.
  2. In another pan add sugar and water mix it until caramelised and add hot water, transfer it to the baking pan. Mix the milk with eggs and pour it onto the caramel.
  3. Transfer it into the bigger baking pan and add hot water to the bottom.
  4. Bake at 160’C(320’F) for 60 minutes.
