Tips

The parsley adds a nice touch of freshness but can be substituted with fresh coriander.

You can use any other cheese like feta, cheddar, or even ricotta.

Experiment with other veggies too. Add grated carrots, corn, or even quinoa.

To make the fritters gluten-free, you can use almond flour or any gluten-free flour blend.

Don’t make your oil too hot, otherwise, the fritters will brown too quickly before it’s cooked through. Use a thermometer to heat the oil to about 350°F.

To make it vegan, you can use a vegan egg replacement. Substitute the egg with 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed mixed with 3 tablespoons water. Use vegan cheese.

Can I Make It Ahead of Time?

You can make the Bell Pepper Fritters ahead and store them in the freezer. Simply heat them in the oven when you’re ready to eat them.

What To Serve With Bell Pepper Fritters

The Bell Pepper Fritters taste delicious on their own, you can also make them as a side with a hearty main.

To serve them as an appetizer, serve them with a sweet chili sauce or ranch dressing. Or a healthier dipping alternative, try Greek yogurt.
