published on 12 February, 2024 at 10:34
INGREDIENTS
300g (2 1/2 cups) of all-purpose flour
125g (1/2 cup) of powdered sugar
125g (1/2 cup) of butter
2 egg yolks
Vanilla extract
A pinch of salt
Strawberry jam
METHOD
1. In a bowl add the flour, powdered sugar, and butter and press with your fingers to combine. Add the egg yolks, vanilla essence, and salt and knead it with your hands to combine all well together. Wrap it in cling film and transfer it to the fridge for 2 hours.
2. After time has elapsed transfer the dough to the working surface and roll it out with the rolling pin.
3. Cut the dough excess to obtain the rectangle shape. Cut on squares and transfer to the baking tray covered with parchment paper. Make the small harts with the help of a knife.
4. Spread the strawberry jam on each square and make the letter shape covering each one with a small heart.
5. Transfer the cookies to the oven and bake at 180°C/360°F for 25 minutes.
