So creamy and delicious, the recipe to make them at home:

INGREDIENTS:
 
For pepito:
  • 4.15 cups flour (all-purpose)
  • 12g yeast
  • 3oz water
  • 4.7oz milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 50g butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • salt
 
For confectionery cream:
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 16.9oz milk
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 50g starch
 
METHOD:
  1. Mix all ingredients for the dough.  Knead the dough.  Let rise for 1 hour.
  2. Divide the dough into 12 parts.  Form balls.  Roll each ball into a small cake.  Form the pepitos custard. 
  3. Let rise for 30 minutes.  Deep-fry.  Dip in sugar.
  4. Prepare the custard.
  5. Cut the custard pepita and fill with cream.
