Tips

To help the cinnamon sugar stick to the roll-ups, you can brush it with a bit of melted butter after frying.

Keep an eye on the oil temperature—it should be about 350°F. If it’s too hot, the tortilla will burn before the roll-up is heated through. Use a neutral oil like canola, peanut, sunflower, or corn oil.

Make a slightly healthier by using wholewheat tortillas.

You can substitute the hazelnut cream with a mixture of peanut butter and honey. Alternatively, leave out the spreads, and add two blocks of dark chocolate to the banana.

Other variations can include:

Use fresh berries and mascarpone cheese (or cream cheese)Use fruit preserves with mascarpone cheese.Use fresh peaches for the filling and serve with fresh cream.

The Banana Rolls-ups can also be made in the Airfryer. Place the roll-ups in the Airfryer basket, spray with oil (or brush with melted butter), and cook for 10 minutes at 320°F, turning halfway.
