Homemade yogurt: the recipe to make it creamy and thick

Ingredients:
Milk (full fat): 3 litres
Sugar (Optional) 1 tsp
Yogurt (at room temperature) 3-4 tbsp
Directions:
Bring the milk to a boil and then let it simmer for 30 minutes on low flame. After 30 minutes let the milk to cool down at room temperature, the temperature needs to be around 40-45 degree. Mix the yogurt with few tbsp of milk and add the mixture into the milk. Cover with warm towel and let it rest for at least 8-9 hours or over night. refrigerate for 3-4 hours and then its ready to be served.
