Lemon pasta with salmon and asparagus: a creamy meal

Ingredients:
1 lb dry linguine or spaghetti
3-4 TB olive oil
1 onion, chopped
7 garlic cloves, chopped
3 TB salted butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
Zest of 1 lemon
Juice of 1 lemon
2 cups fresh asparagus tips (2-inch pieces)
1/2 lb smoked salmon, sliced into bite size pieces
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

2 cups fresh asparagus tips (2-inch pieces)
1/2 lb smoked salmon, sliced into bite size pieces
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Directions:
In a large pan melt the butter and cook onion, garlic, heavy cream, zest and lemon juice and asparagus. Taste with salt and pepper and add spaghetti and salmon. Mix all and serve.
