Homemade mint syrup: a cool drink to beat the summer heat

Ingredients:
1/2 liter of water
600g sugar
Peel of 2 lemons
60g fresh mint
2 teaspoons green powdered food coloring
Directions:
In a pot put water, sugar and lemon peels. Stir and bring to a boil. Then add the mint and boil for 20 minutes. Then blend and strain. Add the coloring and stir. Enjoy this cool drink diluted with water and ice.
