Stuffed friggitelli peppers: a mouth-watering side dish

Ingredients:
450g friggitelli (sweet green Italian peppers)
300g ground beef
1 egg
25g grated cheese
25g breadcrumbs
garlic and basil
Salt and Pepper To Taste
For cooking:
500g tomato puree
250ml water
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
garlic and basil
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Clean the friggitelli and hollow them out. Prepare the stuffing by placing an egg in a bowl with basil, garlic, pepper, salt. Then add the meat, breadcrumbs and cheese and combine everything by mixing well. Stuff the friggitelli. Cook in a pan with olive oil, garlic, water and tomato. Finally add basil, salt and pepper and stir. Cook for 20-25 minutes.
