How to grow a pineapple plant from fruit: a unique method
published on 22 May, 2018 at 15:30
The ideal is to use a pineapple that is not too ripe (we notice it from the color that must be more green). Cut the crown of the pineapple and clean the base from unnecessary parts. Remove some leaves, two or three lines specifically. Cut a bottle of water in two and fill it half. Soak the base of the pineapple crown in water. Put it in a place where it can receive enough light. 10 days later some leaves of the crown will start to dry and others will start to grow. Change or add water as needed, if we see it becomes gray or pasty. In 30 days time, the crown should start to let the roots out and to put new leaves. Plant it, removing the now dry leaves. Make a hole in the ground about three fingers and plant the crown by crushing the soil around it. Abundantly water with a natural fertilizer and when the pot is too small for the plan, pour it into a larger one.
