Puff Pastry Pears

Ingredients:2 Pears.
½ Tbsp Lemon Juice.
500ml Cider.
100g Brown Sugar.
1 Sheet Puff Pastry.
50g Melted Butter.
1 Tsp Cloves.
2 Tsp Cinnamon.
2 Tsp Honey.
Instructions:
Peel your pears and take a slice off the bottom so they stand upright.
Pour over the lemon juice and rub into prevent discoloration.
Bring the cider to the boil and add the brown sugar, stir until dissolved.
Add the pears to the cider syrup, reduce the temperature to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
Cut your pastry into 1cm strips.
Dry your poached pears and then wrap the pastry around the pear.
Brush with melted butter and place in the oven to bake for 25 minutes at 180°C or 350F.
Return to your cooking liquid and add the cloves, honey and cinnamon and reduce to around 75-100ml which should take around 20 minutes.
