Pastiera Recipe: A Delicious, Fragrant & Yummy Dessert

Ingredients:

Pastiera filling:
580g cooked wheat
650g ricotta cheese
500g sugar
300ml milk
5 whole eggs
2 yolks
20ml water
25g candied fruit
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of cinnamon
Grated lemon or orange peel
Directions:
After preparing the pastry, put it in the fridge.
Filling: in a saucepan put the wheat, then add butter, vanilla extract, lemon and orange peel, sugar and milk. Bring to the heat and cook until the milk becomes a cream. Then allow it to cool.
Sift the ricotta, add the candied fruit and then add it to the mixture with the wheat. Finally add the eggs and blend. Roll out the pastry, pierce it and stuff it. Bake at 170°C (340°F) for 75 minutes.
