Preparing a watermelon jam is really simple, you only need a few steps and the result is very good.
Ingredients:
1 kg hulled peel
1 kg hulled peel
500g sugar
30ml lemon juice
100ml dense pectin
First of all remove the hard green rind and the red part of the watermelon and cut into cubes, add the sugar and mix. Allow to macerate in the fridge for about an hour / an hour and a half. Cook over high flame for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring often. Then lower the heat and continue stirring for another 10 minutes, then add the lemon and pectin, stirring for another 10 minutes, until it reaches the right density. Finally put the jam in the jars (to be sterilized in boiling water for about 10 minutes) and turn them over for 5 minutes.
